Range For Hope

Range Fore Hope Foundation is dedicated to supporting Active-Duty Service Members, Veterans, adaptive athletes, and military families through the power of golf and community programming.

Founded in 2018 by retired U.S. Army First Sergeant Alvin King, the organization began as a single charity tournament — King Fore A Day — benefiting local Veteran groups in South Carolina. Recognizing the broader impact golf could have on healing and reintegration, King formally established Range Fore Hope Foundation (RFHF) in 2020 as a nonprofit committed to serving the military community with intentional support.

RFHF uses recreational therapy as a bridge between military service and civilian life, with a strong focus on low to moderate income Veterans and families. Through structured golf instruction, adaptive golf access, and inclusive programming at locations across the Midlands, participants gain physical activity, peer connection, and meaningful social engagement.

In 2025, RFHF expanded its mission through Operation Home & Health, a comprehensive initiative addressing whole health literacy, financial education, homebuyer readiness, and community resource access. In partnership with organizations such as First Citizens Bank and the South Carolina Department of Veterans Affairs, the foundation equips Veterans with practical tools to strengthen long-term stability and overall well-being.

With clear goals to expand therapeutic programming, increase adaptive equipment access, and grow statewide partnerships, Range Fore Hope Foundation continues to build measurable impact across South Carolina. At RFHF, golf is more than recreation, it’s a structured pathway toward healing, connection, and opportunity.
