Billy Horschel and Gabby Herzig joined Gary Williams on the program today. Herzing, a writer for The Athletic, talked about the latest she is hearing on PGA TOUR/LIV talks and what the fans want to see from all of this, what tweaks TGL might need to make for a sustainable future with fans and how Rose Zhang is among the many LPGA stars that don’t think the tour is doing enough to promote their stars. Horschel, the recipient of the Charlie Bartlett Award, talked about why it is important for him to give back; what playing in the TGL environment is like; his friendship with Arthur Blank, his understanding of why golf fans are disenchanted, how to make the televised product and a desire for a more critical TV booth in the mold of Johnny Miller. Gary Willams addressed Anna Nordquist being named the European Solheim Cup captain and how the game of golf is getting younger and younger and some of the reasons behind that movement.
