Birds are ubiquitous among golf logos.  Some very good, some not so inspiring.  High Grove is a highly anticipated new 36-hole extravaganza in the middle of south Florida from the fantastic team of Gil Hanse, Jim Wagner and the Cavemen.  The bird is a Florida scrub Jay, a rare endemic bird to the area set on the converted old orange groves that have been turned into a sand swept golf haven.  The logo from McWhorter Creative is very clean but it’s the distinctive blue hue of the Jay with the yellowish gold golf club that allows the logo to sing.  High Grove plans to present multiple alternate logos but the Jay will lead the way.
