Kisner Foundation

The Kisner Foundation was founded by husband and wife, Kevin and Brittany Kisner in 2016. Kevin Kisner is an American professional golfer who plays on the PGA Tour. The Kisner Foundation Mission was created to construct positive environments for children to build solid foundations for successful lives by striving for all children to have the opportunities and resources to develop into responsible adults with a bright future.

Kevin and Brittany shared in their own words why starting the foundation was so important to them:

“Ever since I began my career in professional golf a personal goal has always been to establish a foundation focused on children and their well-being. Brittany and I are grateful that we have the opportunity to live in such a caring community. We want all children in the Central Savannah River Area to have the opportunity to flourish. ” – Kevin Kisner

“Kevin and I have always had a heart for children.  As our family has grown we have become even more committed to providing opportunities for children to build a strong foundation for success in life.  We are excited to partner with deserving organizations that are focused on early learning and physical and emotional health.  Together we can make a difference for our youth and our community.” – Brittany Kisner

The Kisner Foundation is made up of three different programs. The first is “Tee Up to Read” which sends one age-appropriate book every month to a child until their fifth birthday. Included with each book is a parent/caregiver newsletter that contains additional tools and resources promoting the importance of reading and communicating with their child beginning at birth. These resources help better prepare a child with the necessary skills before entering kindergarten. This service supports children in Aiken County, South Carolina, Kevin Kisner’s hometown.  Together, the goal is to establish a strong literary foundation for a lifetime of learning.

The second program is “The Kisner Foundation and Friends Center for Pediatric Behavioral Health and Wellness.” This pillar addresses social, emotional, behavioral, and developmental concerns in children and adolescents. The third program “Sports, Recreation, and Fitness” focuses on increasing funding for grant proposals that reflect sustainability and measure indicators of success.
