Salem Country Club

Peabody, MA

Salem is simply a singular logo. If it was duplicated it would be preposterous considering the history of the club and its place of origin.  The witch logo is lore way beyond golf.  The Salem witch trials have been studied by countless generations and remain a fascinating chapter of American history.  The club originated in 1895 in Salem Common from the vision of 12 individuals.  The club moved to its Peabody, MA site in 1926 and remains one of Donald Ross’ finest works.  It has hosted and celebrated women’s golf at the championship level as well as Senior Opens and great amateur events.  The witch logo is haunting and distinct.  It’s a brilliant silhouette of its time, place and continued standing in America. Salem is simply sensational.
